Prefetch wastage

Prefetch wastage is the eviction of prefetched data before its first demand access.

The predicted access can still be correct but occur after eviction. [1]

For an observation-window count, separate evicted-unused data from data still resident at the cutoff; the latter has an unresolved outcome. [2]
