RocksDB MANIFEST
RocksDB MANIFEST is the version-edit log mechanism used to recover the database's recorded state, with CURRENT identifying the active manifest log.
It tracks state such as table-file membership rather than duplicating the user-write WAL. Recovery applies an atomic group of version edits only when that group is complete. A file's presence alone does not prove its membership in the recovered database. [1]
