Global Translation Directory (DFTL)

The Global Translation Directory in DFTL maps translation-page identifiers to their current physical flash locations.

This directory locates mapping pages, while the Cached Mapping Table holds selected data-page mappings. Relocating a translation page requires updating its directory entry. [1]
