NVMe Composite Temperature
NVMe Composite Temperature is an implementation-specific temperature value in kelvins representing the controller and its associated namespaces in the SMART / Health Information log.
Base 2.3 Figure 210 places the field at bytes 1-2 and does not require its value to match any physical point in the NVM subsystem. Separate Temperature Sensor 1-8 fields are distinct telemetry. WCTEMP and CCTEMP in Identify Controller specify warning and critical overheating composite thresholds. [1]

Limitations
- A monitoring label such as NAND temperature or controller-die temperature requires device-specific evidence; the composite field alone does not establish either interpretation. [1]
