Read repair reconciles divergent replicas as part of processing a read request.
When triggered, Cassandra 5.0.0 BLOCKING repairs queried data and waits for sufficient acknowledgements; NONE reconciles responses without repair writes. BLOCKING supports monotonic quorum reads, but a narrower read than write can expose partial partition updates. [1]
