SCSI VERIFY

SCSI VERIFY checks selected logical blocks using verification semantics that depend on command fields and device behavior.

BYTCHK selects whether verification includes supplied-data comparison; a clean medium check is not proof of the intended payload. VERIFY differs from WRITE AND VERIFY, which modifies data first. [1] DPO controls cache-retention priority, not a universal physical-read guarantee. [2] Record the command revision, mode, range, reference and status.
