SSD preconditioning

Preparatory writing used to establish a specified SSD state before performance measurement.

Device history affects garbage collection, cache contents and physical placement. MQSim models these states rather than treating occupied capacity alone as sufficient preparation. Document what was written, where and how the subsequent measurement window was accepted.
